1. What does your organization do?
Our organization raises awareness about how people are affected by Cystic Fibrosis through extensive programs and services. For a list of specific programs and services we provide, visit our What We Do section.
2. How can I get involved?
We’re always on the lookout for individuals like you wanting to get involved. Visit our How To Help section to find out ways to donate or volunteer.
3. If I were to donate funds, how is my money used?
We have a responsibility to our community and our donors and work hard to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization. EchoVerse Comics utilizes the funds you donate to create the Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Comics. We then donate the proceeds from the sale of the comic to CF families and foundations. We will also make our IRS Form 990 available for review, as required by law. Visit our Financials page to learn more.
4. Since Echoverse is a nonprofit company, can I deduct my donation?
Yes, monetary donations can be deducted from your taxes. A tax receipt will be sent upon request and is required for donations at or above $500.00.
5. How can I donate EchoVerse Comics artwork?
Click on our "Donate" tab and select "Contribute Art" from the drop down choices. Choose between Fan Art and Art Donations and send us your submission.
6. Is the artwork I donate to EchoVerse Comics tax deductible?
If you meet the tax deduction requirements on our donate page, artwork may be deducted from your taxes.
7. How or where can I buy the comic book?
We are in the funding stage of the comic book production process and ask that you sign-up with EchoVerse Comics to receive updates about our crowdfunding campaign. However, when the time comes to purchase the comic, it will be available at your local comic book store. We will also have a link that will allow an order to take place right from our webpage.
8. What is a Crowdfunding program?
Crowdfunding is a way to raise funding through friends, family, customers, and individuals. Crowdfunding reaches out to individuals through the social media forums, such as Facebook and Twitter, and through crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo.
9. Is EchoVerse Comics using Kickstarter or IndieGoGo for their crowdfunding campaign?
We are leaning towards Kickstarter; however, we may put it to a vote online at a later date and get some feedback from you, our donors and customers.
10. How many issues have been completed?
We are seeking funding for the sequential art pages for twelve issues. Our artist, Marcio Abreu, completed a few pages for you to preview.
11. Is your comic the only fund raising method you are using to create donations?
Our comic book, Ballistic Boyz, is our main fund raising campaign. EVC will have side initiatives such as apparel sales and fund raising events, but our comic will be our priority.
12. What is your organization's privacy policy?
Our organization takes our privacy policy seriously and takes steps to protect and ensure the safety of our supporters. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about our volunteers or supporters outside of our immediate organization. This policy has no exceptions.
